Fundraising Leader

The position

Under supervision of the Development Coordinator, the fundraising leader will have freedom to create and hone a fundraising plan for the year, focusing on planning one fundraising event per month with the support of a team of volunteers. There is also flexibility for the role to involve organising international fundraising events, relationship building with local schools, businesses and other NGOs and grant-writing.

The fundraising leader will spend 50% of their schedule on fundraising shifts and 50% in other areas of the programme in order to be able to learn about SKIP and the context in which it works. This position has the option to be continued remotely with a focus on organising fundraising and awareness -raising events internationally and creating a communication strategy with past volunteers. This is an exciting and dynamic role in which you will have a lot of freedom in creating and developing fundraising opportunities. We are always open to new ideas and suggestions, so there is room for you to use your own creativity in this position!

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in our work at SKIP, and our mission
  • Highly motivated, self-directed and results-driven
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills and problem-solving skills
  • Eight weeks (optimum to receive the best experience, four weeks is available)


  • Fluency or intermediate skills in Spanish
  • Experience in a fundraising role
  • Experience of hosting events
  • An understanding of social media and marketing
