161 Washington Ave
Literacy New York Greater Capital Region is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing confidential instruction by trained staff and volunteers to individuals who wish to improve their reading, writing, math and/or English fluency skills. Our free educational services include: basic literacy instruction in reading, writing and math; preparation for the HSE; ELL (English Language Learning) tutoring and group instruction; tutoring and application assistance for the citizenship exam.
We are seeking individuals with fluency in English and a second language (many languages needed, see below) who are willing to volunteer translate documents on an as-needed basis. This can be done remotely.
Currently, I have one short document that I need translated before September 17th. However, they may be opportunities for additional work in the future.
Languages needed: Albanian, Arabic, Azerbajan, Bengali, Burmese, Chinese, Dari, Farsi, French, Hindi, Japanese, Karen, Korean, Polish, Pashto, Persian, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Tamil, Urdu, and Vietnamese
