Description

We have many opportunities! Come to our volunteer information session on November 10.

Grassroots Animal Rescue needs animal lovers to join our team! We are completely volunteer driven.

This session will be an informal gathering with a presentation to learn more about who Grassroots Animal Rescue is, and how you can help us save lives.

What are some of the areas we need volunteers in?

  • Foster Homes!

  • We need people to foster cats and kittens in their home. These are our full-time foster homes and our temporary foster homes, needed for vacation and short term stays.
  • Event Planning and Staffing!

  • We have several events a year, led by our vibrant events team!

  • Fundraising:

  • This includes joining the fundraising event committee to build our fundraising events, (such as our Annual Hoppin' Cats gala fundraiser) or staffing the fundraising events.

  • Adoption Events:

  • Twice a month, we head over to our friends at 4Legs or other community locations. We need people to talk to the public about our adoption policies and volunteer opportunities, and...play with kittens. Can you handle that amazingness?
  • Social Media + Marketing:

  • Help us make Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter a fun place! Or help us generate our newsletter, develop communications, and design pieces for our followers. We've got a lot of great ideas and we need your help
  • Medical Care Coordinator
  • Includes helping our foster and adoptive families arrange spay/neuter and other medical services with our vet partners.
  • Development, Grant writing, and Donor Stewardship
  • Adoption Counselors
  • Adoptive Family Follow Up
  • Transportation Needs
  • Database Management
  • Administrative and Records Management
  • Much more!

Please RSVP (and bring a friend!) so we can bring the appropriate amount of supplies.

Attending does not mean a commitment to volunteering, but we hope you find it informative!
