Description

Coconio County Parks and Rec is looking for a VISTA to serve in Tuba City, Arizona! The VISTA will serve with educational program staff and parents to design, implement and coordinate new STEM curriculum or expand existing STEM activities for after and out-of-school time educational programs. The VISTA will serve with school staff and parent/community volunteers to develop a day of service event within their school or school community with a STEM focus. Develop resources to support fundraising efforts with assistance of site supervisor. The VISTA will serve with county staff and parent/community manager to identify and/or recruit students from underrepresented groups for the program(s).

Member Duties : Plan, recruit, coordinate, & lead STEMprojects & trips with student groups. Assist with curriculum development & implementation; work with county staff to integrate curriculum Projects may include a service learning event, film screening, presentation, art exhibit or other advocacy work.


Terms :

Car recommended, Permits attendance at school during off hours, Permits working at another job during off hours, Must be 18 years of age, Be able to work in the United States, Be able to pass a background check
