Description

Do you secretly wish you were a librarian? Live your dreams and help feed the imaginations of young writers. As the Uptown Stories Bibliotrix, you would examine our current library (a compact but formidable selection spanning four bookshelves), and correctly categorize and organize our books. You would also solicit book donations from book publishers and literary agencies that represent middle grade and YA book authors. Be our primary contact for anyone wishing to donate to our library.

Let us know when you can start. We ask that you make a minimum 3-month commitment. Besides that, we're flexible on when all that reorganizing happens. Researching and soliciting donations, you're welcome to do remotely or at our weekly Wednesday Work Party from 10am - 3pm.

ABOUT UPTOWN STORIES

At Uptown Stories, we believe that writing is an essential tool for self-expression, critical thinking, and academic success.Based in upper Manhattan, we offer small-group writing workshops for children ages eight to fifteen, led by master teachers and professional authors. To ensure our workshops are accessible to all children, tuition is pay-what-you-can. Whether your child is a struggling writer or an aspiring novelist, Uptown Stories creates an exciting, challenging, and supportive community in which your young author thrives.
