For the clients of the Downtown Emergency Service Center the gift bag they receive during the holidays is likely the only gift they will have all year.
Adopt a program! (25-200 gifts)
Your group, organization, or company can make sure every vulnerable client at DESC gets a simple, but much appreciated gift. Each gift costs $15, and is essentially the same. It starts with a small gift bag, and in it there is a hat, gloves, a cup of soup, some trail mix for protein and some candy for fun. And there is a $10 gift card!
How it works:
- Contact our Drive Coordinator, and together, you will determine which program you will adopt.
- Commit to underwriting the gifts.
- We can bring the items to you for your own assembly party
- Or we can host an assembly party at one of our programs
- Or we can assemble and deliver for you!
Our goal this year is 2100 gifts, and we need your help!
DESC- the Downtown Emergency Service Center serves Seattle's most vulnerable homeless population particularly those with significant mental and substance use disorders. DESC provides integrated services including housing, emergency shelter, crisis intervention and healthcare to thousands of homeless and formerly homeless people every day. DESC is a registered 501(c)3 no profit and all donations are tax deductible.
This is an easy and incredibly heartwarming way to ensure that the client population of DESC is remembered.
