The Junior League of Portland will host their inaugural Women’s Empowerment & Leadership Summit on May 11, 2018 at the Hilton Downtown Portland. Founded in 1910, the Junior League of Portland (JLP) is the fourth oldest Junior League internationally and is focused on improving communiUes through developing women and the leadership of trained volunteers.

The Rose City Women’s Summit is a day-long leadership and professional development conference o pen to all women in our community. The theme is Diversity and Inclusion and the Junior League is honored to feature Tarana Burke, activist and founder of the #MeToo Movement. The Summit will offer opportunities for workshops, speakers, networking, and camaraderie among women in all stages of leadership around our community. 

The Summit is a major fundraiser for the Junior League of Portland (JLP) and all proceeds from the event support the League’s community fund, the 1910 Campaign, with 100% of the money raised going directly back into the Portland community. The 1910 Campaign is currently partnered with New Avenues for Youth, working to end youth homelessness. Tickets are $150.

Over 300 women leaders from across the region will be attending this leadership and professional development conference engaging in conversation around diversity, equity, and inclusion. We want to provide the tools to discover more about the leader in each of us through through the Rose City Women’s Leadership Summit. We are entering a new era of awareness for women’s issues and feel that empowering women as leaders is investing in the community.

Break-out sessions will include; personal development, career advancement, civic leadership, and financial independence and long-term planning.
