Guitars For Vets is seeking a Chapter Coordinator for the Cleveland, OH chapter. This position is non-compensated. The Chapter Coordinator works with volunteer guitar instructors to provide free guitar lessons and an acoustic guitar to Veterans suffering from PTSD and physical injuries in a structured program in partnership with the Department of Veteran Affairs. G4V fosters a learning environment based on the PAGE model (Patience, Acceptance, Gratitude and Empathy). Training and mentoring is provided for this position.

  Required skills: proficiency with MicroSoft Office products and computer software in general, willing and able to pass a background check, willing to become a VA volunteer, willing to commit to following G4V processes in accordance with our 501(c)3 status and be responsive to communication with G4V employees and management.

   Additional skills: experience with guitar instruction, supervisory skills, fundraising, networking, community outreach and public speaking.

The Cleveland OH chapter meets at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center on Thursdays during the day for individual lessons. A group class is scheduled from 1pm-2pm, also on Thursdays.

*Guitars for Vets is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2007 and based in Milwaukee, WI. G4V provides 10 free guitar lessons and a new acoustic guitar to Veterans with PTSD, physical injuries and emotional distress in a structured program run by volunteers and in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
