Help a young family thrive through higher education: become a Sponsor (mentor) with Generation Hope!

Generation Hope is a nonprofit organization that helps DC-area teen parents become college graduates through one-on-one mentoring, tuition assistance, and crisis intervention. Generation Hope’s unique program model to provides a direct giving experience for Sponsors as they work with us to nurture a new generation of ambitious and successful families.

As a Generation Hope Sponsor (mentor), you will work one-on-one with a young parent in college (matched based on geography, personality, field of interest, and more), providing them with emotional support and guidance as their pursue their degree. By meeting one-on-one at least once a month and communicating at least every other week, you will form a supportive, caring mentoring relationship that helps two generations thrive. As a Sponsor, you will also provide a contribution, going directly towards your Scholar's college tuition, of $1,200/year ($100/month) if you support a Scholar attending a 2-year college or $2,400/year ($200/month) if you support a Scholar attending a 4-year college. This is a unique, direct-giving opportunity that allows you to make a tangible difference in the life of a young family.
