Find yourself in Vietnam, a lush, magical country that welcomes international volunteers as it struggles to overcome decades of war and political/economic upheaval. ELI Abroad partners with NGOs, community development organizations and schools in the dynamic capital, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dalat, a beautiful (and cooler) hill town. Our volunteers benefit the community and provide -- and receive! -- a unique learning opportunity. Whether you work in a center for children with disabilities, teach in a primary school, or assist in a clinic for HIV/AIDS victims, your time and dedication will be welcomed and deeply appreciated. Past volunteers were struck by the warmth of the Vietnamese people, and the richness of their culture and history.

When you're not working, you'll lose yourself (in a good way!) in the excitement that is Ho Chi Minh City and its bustling markets, pulsating nightlife and world-class cuisine. If you choose Dalat, you'll spend your weekends and holidays exploring the dazzling local countryside, its temples and palaces and going on nature-oriented adventures. One visitor told us, the vegetarian cuisine in Dalat was so good, he didn't want to leave.

As an ELI Abroad volunteer, you can choose from a variety of placements including:

  • Orphanages & Children’s Programs
  • Teaching English
  • Women’s Empowerment
  • TB/HIV/AIDS Education and Outreach
  • Health & Medical

Program Duration: 2 week minimum time commitment.
