Description

Duties and Responsibilities: The Morgan is seeking an outgoing, people-oriented, highly energetic individual with an interest in art and music in general and the Morgan in particular to provide quality service as an usher at events open to the public. He/she must be able to assist patrons with special needs in an auditorium with steep steps, escort visitors to their seats when appropriate, and climb stairs and stand for long periods of time. He/she must also be able to engage in a dialogue with visitors about the event being offered in a courteous, friendly manner, yet also be able to demonstrate firm crowd control when warranted.


Qualifications: Previous customer service experience, especially in museum or attraction setting; excellent communication skills; pleasant demeanor; ability to work evenings and occasional weekends; knowledge of classical music and of the performing arts; ability to maintain calm in busy times. Ability to move easily up and down stairs and to stand for long periods of time.
