EduCARE India has a microfinance internship opportunity in Bikaner, India for volunteers and interns who would like to experience a unique perspctive of international development abroad in India. This is a great opportunity for an international volunteer - intern to get an idea of how microfinance can support small women owned businesses need assistance through, development training, and community support. Interns would get an opportunity to make visits to marginalised community habitations / families and help support / start a small women owned businesses and experience how microloans are effecting their lives.
This is a social and green microfinace initiative with interest free loans to women from poor . rural communities to setup businesses of their own contributing to their economic empowerment and environmental conservation.. Check out one intern's experience on our blog:

Interns will get experience with:
1) Case Studies of successful entrepreneurs starting up small businesses
2) Documentation and Management of funds
3) Researching where help is needed, and Working with rural populations
4) Shadowing a typical micro credit session
5) Developing / assisting / conducting training workshops for women
9) Helping to develop videos and documentaries on our microfinance and entrepreneurial development
Requirements:
1) Must be 18 years and older
2) Working English
3) Knowledge / interest in international development
4) Minimum 10 week commitment
