William Penn House -- a Quaker center on Capitol Hill supporting peace, equity and justice through radical hospitality and innovative social justice education -- seeks a seasoned Quaker individual (or couple), committed to and experienced in the practice of values and principles of the Religious Society of Friends, to be a core part of our residential community, serve as a resource to WPH and the communities that we serve and helping to ground the life of the House in the Life of the Spirit. The primary roles of the Friend(s) in Residence include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Participating in the daily activities of the hospitality program, from taking reservations and welcoming guests to serving breakfast and helping with laundry;
- Developing and supporting WPH educational programs and public events;
- Using the volunteer's unique interests and talents to enhance the mission and work of William Penn House.

This volunteer positions includes a private room and a shared food budget.
