We are seeking curious and energetic lifelong learners to engage the Museum's diverse audiences in relevant conversations about the natural world and our relationship with it in our Q?rius Venues.
Volunteers use the Museum's unique resources, objects, science experts, and scientific equipment to make personal connections with visitors in Q?rius, the Coralyn W. Whitney Science Education Center (ages 10 and up) and Q? jr.: a discovery room (ages 10 and under).
Q?rius brings the Museum's collections, scientists, and research out from behind the scenes and within your reach. We invite you to join our team and use thousands of authentic Museum objects and specially designed activities to enhance a visitor's science awareness.
Must be 18 years and older.
Must attend 3 hour Museum Orientation on 9/16, 9/20, or 10/14. Must attend four days of training on Saturday, 9/22, Sunday, 9/23, Saturday, 9/29, and Sunday, 9/30. Must complete 2 shadow shifts: 1 in Q?rius, 1 in Q? jr.
1 year minimum, 8 hours per month.
Shifts are 9:45 am-1:45 pm and 1:15-5:15 pm 7 days per week
Must attend pre-shift meetings at 9:45am or 1:15pm
Please note that Q? jr.:a discovery room is CLOSED Sundays and Mondays.
