Description

The mission of St. Vincent Meals on Wheels (STVMOW) is to prepare and deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors and other vulnerable residents across Los Angeles regardless of age, illness, disability, race, religion, or ability to pay. STVMOW is seeking Driver and Runner Volunteers to provide meal delivery service to the client's residence. The Driver and Runner work as a team to ensure all clients assigned to their route receive the right meal. The Driver safely transports the meals within a specific route to each client address. The Runner provides courteous and timely door-to-door meal delivery service to the client. Team work duties include: preparation for the route, loading of the vehicle, delivery of meals to the client, and unloading of vehicle.


Qualifications include strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse staff and volunteers in a team environment and attention to detail. The performance of duties involves working outdoors in varied weather conditions and the physical abilities to climb stairs and lift/move objects of ten pounds or more. Drivers require a valid California Driver's License and a clear Department of Motor Vehicle record.
