6 County Road, Suite 6,
Hurricane Michael made landfall near Mexico Beach, Florida on October 10th, 2018. Michael made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane, with maximum sustained winds of 155 mph. The third most intense Atlantic Hurricane to make landfall in the United States, Michael broke wind speed records as the strongest storm on record to hit the Florida Panhandle. As Michael tracked across the Southeastern United States, strong winds caused 1.2 million power outages across the region, with power failing in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina and North Carolina. Sadly, 35 individuals lost their lives as a result of the storm.
Our Hurricane Michael Rapid Response team has jumped into action and we are working in the Bay and Calhoun Counties within Florida. Our work will be focused on Chainsawing and Tree Work, Debris Removal, Mucking and Gutting, and Mold Sanitation.
Volunteering with All Hands and Hearts is completely free, and we provide housing and meals. No construction experience is required - just an eagerness to work hard for a good cause!
