The Mobile Info Team is a group of independent volunteers providing information to asylum seekers, migrants and refugees in Northern Greece. We assist families and individual asylum seekers by providing dedicated, long-term support during their asylum and family reunification cases. We research legal and political developments relevant to migrants in Greece and Europe, and disseminate information through our daily hotline and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/mobileinfoteam). We advocate for refugee rights and seek to keep asylum-seekers informed on an accessible platform.

What we need: A new volunteer who is currently studying or has graduated from a degree in Law, International Relations or Political Science, starting from mid-November. Prior asylum counselling experience/knowledge is desirable.

Benefit: A challenging and fulfilling work experience with beneficiaries and other actors involved in the refugee crisis in Northern Greece.

Due to the complexity of our work, we only take volunteers who can commit for a minimum of 3 months, after which they will achieve a sound knowledge of the asylum situation in Greece. We will offer in-depth one-on-one training at start of the volunteer placement.

Lawyers with experience in asylum law who can commit to a shorter amount of time are also welcome to apply.
