Description

Community-based and site-based mentoring opportunities are available. Caring, concerned adult role models are paired with youth who will benefit from additional support. By sharing fun activities and exposing a youth to new experiences, a mentor encourages positive choices, promotes high selt-esteem, supports academic achievement and introduces the youth to new ideas. Mentors commit to spending a minimum of one hour per week over the course of one year. LUK mentors complete a thorough screening process which includes an interview, background checks and mentor training.
