Description

Our Brighton Beach food pantry helps individuals in the community experiencing food insecurity. We serve many seniors, immigrants, and Holocaust victims.

Volunteers assist food pantry clients with ordering food on an iPad. This allows clients to select which food items they want and do not want for their family, giving them more choice and autonomy, and also reducing food waste.

Dates: every Thursday (with the option for coming only once or on a repeating-basis, depending on what best suits your schedule)

Times: 9:00 - 1:30

Location: The pantry is located directly off the Brighton Beach stop on the B/Q line (and two short blocks from the beach)

The head of the pantry always orders a free lunch for everyone assisting.

*Please note volunteers must be over 18 for this project.

If you are interested in volunteering, please email volunteer@metcouncil.org for further details!
