Description

Imagine LA has been interrupting the cycle of family homelessness, poverty and neglect in Los Angeles since 2008.  Our innovative Family Empowerment & Mentorship model utilizes intensive family case management and supercharges it with mentorship and access to private and public resources.

Mentors play an incredibly supportive role in the lives of the families they serve. You will walk with the family as they reach their financial, educational, and job-readiness goals and stabilize their lives after homelessness.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities: Mentors will work individually with one member of a formerly homeless family and have weekly conference calls with our trained MSWs. You can be paired with a child or parent of your same gender, or be a financial wellness mentor for the head of the household. This is a 1-2 hour per week volunteer commitment.

Requirements: Mentors must be over the age of 21. We will walk you through the application process and all other program requirements at the info session.
