1. Women’s Empowerment project

 With two-thirds of the world’s illiterate population female and countless girl still children not receiving a basic education, supporting women in developing countries is vital to helping overcome critical social issues such as poverty and unemployment. By supporting women in society and giving them access to equal opportunities such as an education, jobs and health care, everyone benefits. Infant mortality rates go down, more children stay in school, incomes increase and the cycle of poverty can be broken.

2. Teaching English and Computers in Serengeti Schools;

The demand for English is constantly increasing Tanzania as international tourism and trade expand. While the importance of English as a second language is recognized and stressed, many poorer children are left without the opportunity to learn English. As a result, many poor Tanzanians are left without hope of higher career opportunities. CHF invites you to volunteer in Tanzania teaching English and improve educational environments for Tanzania students

As a volunteer teaching English in Tanzania, your experience will be valuable for both you and your students. Daily activities may include:

·        Teaching basic English

·        Teaching other subjects such as math or science

·        Organizing extracurricular activities such as music, dancing, sports, art, games, etc.

·        Teaching basic health and sanitation

·        Assisting with local curriculum development

3.Serengeti Wildlife Conservation Volunteer Programs;

Wildlife Conservation volunteer programs run by CHF range from protecting ecosystem to the rehabilitation of animals in bush, this is your chance to give something back to the environment. Based on years of practice, CHF offers you a carefully vetted selection of excellent wildlife volunteer projects in Serengeti National park Due to human encroachment and illegal practices such as poaching; habitats and wildlife are under serious threat. Wildlife conservation volunteer programs are vitally important in the effort to keep species and habitats protected and healthy. Volunteers are key in this effort, and can help enormously by mapping habitats and working with local communities to ensure conservation efforts are put in place.

This project gives you a real and unfiltered look into Africa’s incredible iconic wildlife. But unlike a tourist safari, you play an active and meaningful role in the research and long term conservation of Africa’s natural resources in this stunning region of the world

4. Healthcare/Medical Project ;

 As a volunteer in Tanzania working in the Healthcare and Medical Project, you will work alongside local doctors and nurses and promote basic health, sanitation, disease prevention, family planning and much more throughout local community. Many people in Tanzania have little to no access to healthcare, but with the help of volunteers, local organizations and clinics/hospitals can supply imperative treatment and community education.

To be a medical volunteer in Tanzania and work in clinics and hospitals, you must submit proof of a medical certification such as a medical ID, EMT, paramedic, nursing, etc. Due to liabilities, volunteers must be healthcare professionals and those who lack medical credentials may not participate in this project. You must be flexible when dealing with organizations, doctors, curses and patients. For this project volunteers must be open minded, patient, enthusiastic, hardworking, resourceful, and willing to learn. This project is based in the Greater Serengeti Area close to the famous Serengeti National Park – one of the largest national park in the world and home to Africa's 'Big 5' species. The Serengeti plains harbor the largest remaining unaltered animal migration in the world where over one million wildebeest plus hundreds of thousands of other ungulates engage in a 1,000 km long annual circular trek spanning the two adjacent countries of Kenya and Tanzania. This spectacular phenomenon takes place in a unique scenic setting of ‘endless plains’: 25,000km2 of treeless expanses of spectacularly flat short grasslands dotted with rocky outcrops (kopjes) interspersed with rivers and woodlands. The Park also hosts one of the largest and most diverse large predator-prey interactions worldwide, providing a particularly impressive aesthetic experience.
