Description

We are seeking a coach/mentor to join our superstar volunteer Coaching team. The person must be flexible with hours and can volunteer after school (5pm-7:30pm) and weekends. The person must be able to Coach and Mentor youth ages 5-18 in the sports of Soccer, Basketball and Flag Football. The person must also be be able collect attendance and submit to Program Director and must be able to work a few days during the Weekdays in the evenings and Weekends.


The ideal candidate is someone that loves sports and believes in the value of providing youth sports to children in every school and community. This person is able to work with groups of children between the ages of 5 and 18 and is looking to establish a meaningful impact in the lives of children. Village of Champions Sports offers many opportunities for growth. This growth allows a Coach Mentor to seek positions in our summer camp and part time work during our After School programs.


Coaches will be required to serve at several locations throughout the week. Therefore, reliable transportation is necessary but not mandatory. Most of our programs take place after school and on Saturdays. Successful candidates will be asked attend team meetings and submit attendance sheets to Program Directors.

All equipment for the program will be provided.


Required experience:

  • Experience working with children/groups of children (can be volunteer experience).
  • Sports Playing or Coaching.


Required education:

  • High school


Location: West and Southwest Philadelphia. Most program takes place at Philadelphia Recreation Centers.
