The volunteers will help in a school for disadvantaged and poor children in the countryside of Khon Kaen. The school is under the royal foundation and offers education, food and accommodation for the children that have no parents, the children from the poor families, and the children from very remote areas.
It is highly desired for primary school students in Thailand to be able to communicate with foreigners. By allowing these students to be exposed to a different culture and language, it can help to build confidence with speaking English, especially for students in rural areas. The students start to overcome their shyness and get used to interacting with people from other countries. The continuation of this project is essential for the students’ improvement and success.
Volunteers are expected to work as English teachers in primary and high school. You can prepare easy English lessons and useful conversations – and this way open and share a new experience with the students. You are welcome to use your own experience for teaching and organizing games.
Duration of the project: The project is running from June to September and from November to February. Minimum stay 1 month.
