In partnership with the National Park Service, monthly beach cleanups for the shorebirds at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. All equipment (gloves, pickers and buckets) are provided by the NPS. A commitment to learn more about the Snowy Plovers and other shorebirds. Assistance at monthly beach cleanups are encouraged. Next events:

  • Friday October 12, 2018 from 9am-noon
  • Friday November 9,2018 from 9am-noon

Directions: Volunteers meet at Stairwell 17 on the Great Highway,(across from the Beach Chalet) San Francisco CA.

Wear a hat, sunscreen and weather appropriate clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit sandy or dirty. Bring your own water bottle and gloves to minimize trash. We’ll provide instruction and tools.
