Come join a team of Insect Ambassadors at the Smithsonian's Insect Zoo and Butterfly Pavilion! You will get to handle an assortment of different insects and arachnids, perform feedings for live tarantulas, release exotic butterflies into our Pavilion, and engage Museum Visitors about them in our open-flight pavilion.
Our Insect Zoo contains over 50 species of arthropods from across the world and hundreds of exotic butterflies fly in the Butterfly Pavilion. Experience just how amazing these animals can be.
MUST BE 18 years and older
3 hour Museum Orientation session. Also must attend 7.5 hour class in Sunday, June 17th, 2018 and one 1-hour evening session on Thursday, June 21st, 2018 from 6-7 pm
1 year minimum. 8 hours per month.
Shifts are 9:45am-1:45pm and 1:15pm-5:15pm
