Local Sustainable Action Advocate

We believe people are more equipped to take action to live sustainably, clean, protect, and repair the environment in their communities when they can find the opportunities that exist in their area. We need people that can do online or local community searches for eco-friendly: events, groups, nonprofits, projects, articles, podcasts, local home and garden advice, businesses, government resources, etc. and add this information to the closest local green online hubs. We are also looking for people that can encourage locals to create formal or informal "take action" groups and help inform them about free resources they can use and how they can promote their group and group events on the local hubs. We are also looking for people to help enroll local email subscribers that want emails of local events so they can get more involved locally in ways to live more sustainably and work with others on projects that clean, protect, and repair the environment.

How to Apply

We are looking for people that are able to find eco-friendly events, projects, groups, nonprofits, businesses, local advice, and resources through either their own local green community networks or through online searches and local inquiries. Advocates need to have knowledge of sustainability and environmental issues so they can add earth-friendly and people-friendly options that help the community have greener choices. We are trying to avoid green-washing and organizations that are advocating solutions that involve gene editing or toxic and non-holistic methods. Each city and state is different. Some areas of the country are just starting to address what might be more sustainable and green for their area and we want to include their efforts to bring people to the best options in their area. However, in larger communities where there are better options we seek to include only those. For sincere businesses that are ready, we want you to encourage them to become green certified. Though some certifications can be quite difficult and costly but there are also free options. We have certification and sustainability resources for businesses.

We are looking for people that are open-minded, willing to learn, collaborative, and positive. You don't need to have a college education, but need to be well-informed and have a passion for protecting planet and people.

If this work is something you are interested in, then please contact us and let us know more about yourself or your group.
