Are you a people person?
Can you carry on a conversation?
Do you want to make a difference in the life of someone else?
Loyola Medicine Hospice is looking for volunteers who would enjoy talking to our hospice patient and/or their loved ones. Hospice volunteers offer companionship by having conversations with our patients and getting to know them, or by engaging the family in conversation or being present in the home so caregivers can go out and run the errands they need to run.
All training is done in Oak Brook and takes about six hours to complete. You can do that all at once or over two days. Email for more information and give someone hope.
