We are building a team of Product Managers and Owners to support our growing number of web development projects being built by our apprentice developers.

You will be immersed in a high tech, high growth environment within 1871’s tech incubator structure as well as the organization. This is an opportunity to attend workshops, events and conferences focused on business development, marketing, social media, finance, and more. <—Those are the perks!


PM team members serve as mentors and leaders for our volunteer developer apprentices.

  • Project Managers have the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of a project. They assist the team in measuring the team’s velocity and other measurements. 
  • Product Owners have the responsibilities for being the domain specialist who owns and drives the vision for the product development project. They represent the business in the agile development team and work with the development team and stakeholders to determine what features will be in each product release. 

All TDE volunteers have a passion for working to extend the tech community and giving back.

We are looking for working product owners and managers with at least 6 months of experience inside a software development company. Available at a minimum on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6-9 PM for on-site leadership. Some remote work.
