As a classroom volunteer you will provide individualized and/or small group instruction for students in all HiSET subjects on weekday mornings.
Specific responsibilities include:
● Assisting in curriculum development
● Providing individualized and/or small group instruction
● Occasionally helping with administrative tasks as needed
● Conducting all activities in a manner that is sensitive to and shows respect for the cultural and ethnic diversity for all Bridge clients.
We are looking for volunteers with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, comfort with high school level content, and a desire to impact the lives of youth.
We have classes Monday-Friday from 9:00am-12:00pm. We also have open tutoring hours on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1:00pm-3:00pm. We are looking for volunteers who can commit to at least one morning or afternoon per week for at least three months. All interested volunteers will need to pass a criminal background check and a reference check.
