Are you a morning person who loves cooking? Do you have a desire to serve families of children receiving medical care? Then our Breakfast Brigade Leader volunteer role is perfect for you!

Ronald McDonald House Charities North Central Florida is in search of a dedicated, consistent Break Brigade Leader to assist with the oversight of our breakfast program at the House. Ideally we are looking for someone who can provide structure and creativity to this essential meal program for families.

The volunteer Breakfast Brigade Leader must have availability between 8am and 11am Monday - Friday. We ask this volunteer to dedicate 2-3 consistent shifts per week to assist with training other volunteers, managing breakfast food inventory and weekly breakfast menus. RMHCNCF is dedicated to serving families breakfast at 9:00am each day.

Duties Include:

Checking with Breakfast Brigade Manager and Manager on Duty to cook meals based on breakfast food inventory

Preparing breakfast utilizing sanitary food handling gloves and kitchen equipment

Serving breakfast to families

Cleaning breakfast area and cooking items and ensuring they are stored properly

Determining inventory for week of breakfast meals

Training new Breakfast Brigade volunteers as needed


Must feel comfortable cooking and preparing food for 30 - 50 people

Ability to lead and organize other volunteers

Must be organized and have excellent communication skills.

Positions requires moving about a kitchen and moving items up to 25 lbs

Must to personable, friendly, and flexible

Must have a dedication to RMHCNCF mission of improving the health and well-being of children
