Description

Tired of shaking your fist at the daily news? Get involved helping immigrants pursue legal status in the United States. Catholic Charities Immigration Legal Services of Washington, D.C. represents immigrant families and children applying for asylum, special immigrant juvenile status, visas for victims of domestic violence, and other immigration relief. We are looking for Spanish speakers to work with clients and volunteer attorneys. This a part time position suitable for students and reitirees. Volunteers will work closely with staff and volunteer attorneys supporting their work on behalf of clients. Volunteers will also work with the pro bono program helping to manage cases, interpret client meetings and research immigration issues as needed.
