Build healthy families and a strong North Texas community by preventing child abuse and neglect. The Volunteer Program VISTA will enhance a comprehensive volunteer management component by recruiting individuals with commitment to the Family Compass mission. Major duties include recruitment of 50 new volunteers, development and implementation of volunteer trainings, community outreach in Dallas and Collin Counties and staging regular appreciation activities. Successful applicants will possess skills in the following areas: communication, both oral and written, volunteer recruitment, community organization and computers/technology.
VISTAs (Volunteers in Service to America) devote one year of full-time service at nonprofit organizations or local government agencies.
