Volunteers aged 16 and older are needed to collect donations, direct traffic, and give information to attendees at the Head of the Housatonic Regatta on Saturday, October 6.This is an important fundraiser for our organization and your help is needed!
Most volunteers will be directing traffic through the two garages at 2 Corporate Drive in Shelton and directing attendees to the shuttle buses which will take them from the parking area to the event. individual volunteers and groups are welcome!
This opportunity takes place outside (rain or shine) and volunteers must be able to stand for the duration of their shift(s). There are three, 3-hour volunteer shifts availanle:
6:00 a.m.- 9:00 a.m.
9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
12:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.
Following their shift(s) volunteers can hop on the shuttle bus and enjoy the races at Indian Well State Park along the beautiful Housatonic River.The shifts go by quickly as this event is well attended and the racing is fantastic!
