About Marc Whitmire

Marc is a veteran and small business owner fighting to end the corrupting influence of money in politics. He believes guaranteeing health care for every American with Medicare for All will help entrepreneurs by freeing up capital to grow their business and hire more workers. He will pursue sensible investments in emerging industries to create thousands of new, skilled jobs with good wages, ultimately reducing dependence on government services by closing the income gap. Those jobs will require skills, and people will need the training and education to pursue them. Marc believes every kid deserves a shot at the American Dream, and will fight to take Tennessee’s promise of a free college education to every citizen nationwide. Marc is a Brand New Congress candidate.

About Brand New Congress

We are the ONLY Post-Partisan PAC that recruits regular working people to run for Congress. Party affiliation is secondary to the issues important to the people.

Our majority volunteer-led organization works tirelessly towards this goal by recruiting and endorsing Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who will make up our pre-formed caucus to enact the common sense legislation for which Americans have been waiting. Laws that invest in renewable energy, end mass incarceration, and guarantee a living wage are way overdue. Average citizens want to see these ideas put into action, and the political and corporate classes have consistently stood in the way of that vision.

Thus, our mission is to overwhelm the polls by presenting candidates that are not the “lesser of two evils,” but candidates that stand up against the corrupt political establishment and neoliberal economic order, and represent the values of all Americans.

Through brand new ideas, brand new values, and brand new politics, we will elect a Brand New Congress!

About This Role

The volunteer coordinator will be responsible for calling through and texting our list of volunteers to encourage attendance at our various voter engagement events.

If you’re able to commit at least 15 hours a week for the next six weeks, and you want to work hand-in-hand with me to let the voters of the 2nd district know they have a real choice on the ballot in November, we need to fill this role immediately.
