Description

Are you interested in construction volunteer work where you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the long-term development goals of communities overseas?

Seeds of Change offer affordable Construction and Renovation volunteer projects that enable international volunteers to work alongside local people to support building new structures for community use, renovating existing community buildings, and improving local infrastructure.

Our construction and building volunteer projects are often undertaken to support the developmental goals of hospitals, churches, palaces, schools, orphanages, community centers and recreational facilities. The renovation or construction volunteer work will vary depending on your location, the unique community needs, and the different stages of construction work.

You can choose to volunteer for durations ranging from 1 week to 6 months but you are free to extend your stay if deem neccesary.

You do not require any previous experience or qualifications to participate on our Construction and Renovation projects, as you will be supported and lead by skilled members of the local team.Working tools and materias avialable for volunteers. A strong work ethic and an enthusiasm for a challenge are the key requirements for these projects, which offer a rewarding opportunity for volunteers who like to see the physical results of their hard work that can change the community.

OUR ACCOMMODATION , MEALS AND AMENITIES

Volunteers are accommodated in four difference volunteer homes in rural and Urban areas.Volunteers choose to share or not to share a room with others. 4G internet services avialable.we recommend volunteers to bring their own towel and toiletries. The accommodation is safe and secure with the houses located in a safe area in town near the community where volunteers work. Living is comfortable and the volunteer houses have electricity and running water with Western toilets.

our volunteers receive three meals per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and meals served in the volunteer house are typically Western-style. Breakfast consists of self-serve tea, coffee, toast and cereal. At breakfast time, volunteers are also provided with food for making a sandwich as a packed lunch for their project, this is particularly important for Teaching volunteers to note, as your day usually ends after lunch. Dinner consists of dishes containing meat, vegetables and a starch, such as potatoes, bread or pasta. Bottled water is readily available in Cameroon and you should budget approximately US$2 per week , however tap water is fine to drink in the volunteer houses and most other areas. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know as we program and make arrangements for you. However, we need to stress the point that you should expect to eat more as you normally do at home. We will do our best to see that you are well taken care of, but also as a volunteer.
