Long-Term (6 months-1 year)
The aim of this project is to conserve biodiversity in a sustainable way through gardening activities. In this context, an educational garden was set up in 2014. The activities carried out in the garden raised awareness among volunteers and the community on responsible consumption of local and organic products. It is a garden where the principles of sustainable development are implemented.
International volunteers will help expand and reinforce the activities in the garden so that the needs for bigger and more diverse production can be met. The group will work on the following tasks: - Preparing the soil, weeding, hoeing - Making compost - Protecting the plants, transplanting seedlings, watering them - Repairing and strengthening the garden fence
The volunteers will have the opportunity to explore Kpalimé and its surroundings in the free time. You can hike in the mountains around or cool down by one of the famous waterfalls of Kpalime.
