Volunteer Drivers - Grocery Rescue & Food Distribution
- Volunteer Opportunity posted by Volunteers of America Western Washington/Human Resources
Times of day
A few hours per week
Short-Term (few weeks/months)
About 40% of food received by food banks come from retail grocery stores.
Food rescue drivers are needed to pick up from stores and deliver products to the distribution center. Drivers are also needed to pick up food from generous businesses and communities during and after food drives. Additionally, drivers may take food to home-bound clients.
Besides drivers, we also need ride-a-long assistants to help with loading and unloading food.
