Live2Create Foundation Network is actively seeking 4-6 dedicated social media & content writing volunteers to be an active member of our in-house marketing team, helping to drive engagement across a variety of platforms and channels. You’ll have a chance to pitch ideas, create original content for the web and social media, and contribute to the production of outreach materials for member-centered programs and services. Along the way, you’ll gain hands-on experience in writing, research, project coordination, and social media management.

This person will also be expected to assist the Founder| President and CEO with media engagement, public relations strategies, social media marketing. The ideal volunteer will be available up to three times a week for 2-3 hours per day working on social media campaigns. (Days to be determined based on availability).


Job Description: Social Media & Content Writers 

Reports to: President & CEO 

Purpose: Helping to drive engagement across a variety of platforms and channels, specifically Twitter, FB, Instagram, and Mighty Networks. 

Status: Non-paid 

Essential Functions: Social Networking, Communication, Social Media Management 

In addition to providing general social media campaign support, duties may include, but not limited to: 

Get to know the organization from the inside out to unearth the ideas and stories that matter to the community 

Participate in the planning, production, scheduling, and publishing of social media and web content 

Write, edit, and proofread copy as assigned 

Conduct industry research and competitive analysis, and provide actionable advice for increasing online engagement 

Audit social media accounts for messaging consistency and performance 

Assist with capturing and analyzing social media metrics 

Field social media comments and inquiries 

Provide administrative support, which may include digital file-keeping; transcribing interviews; maintaining lists and spreadsheets; sorting, tagging, and indexing photos or video footage; and other tasks as needed. 

Capture photos and stories from the community.


Minimum two years related experience; nonprofit experience a plus. 

Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills. 

Outgoing and comfortable with people. 

Passion for the mission and values. 

Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and word processing. 

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic work environment. 

Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision. 

Ability to develop effective work plans, organize details, set priorities, and meet deadlines. 

Public Relations, Marketing Strategy, Planning, and Networking a plus. 

Background Check 

Must be at least 18 

Orientation or Training 

6-10 hours a week 

This is a dedicated volunteer position and is great for someone seeking mentorship and growth in the nonprofit sector.
