Description

Work remotely / 5 to 10 hours week


We’re a nonprofit organization creating an international policy change to end violence against women and girls and we’re seeking a volunteer to help build our social media presence. You’d work with the communication manager and two to three other volunteers, all working remotely. You must possess strong team skills, a high degree of individual accountability and integrity, and have the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision.


Along with the team, you would:

  • Create content for social platforms, including Twitter, Instagram and Facebook
  • Research stats / news in all areas relate to violence against women and girls for social content / posting
  • Help with daily posting
  • Assist with tracking social effectiveness
  • Research influencers
  • Help us follow our members and partners
  • Brainstorm storytelling ideas / other content approaches
  • Contribute to engagement ideas / strategies


Desired skills

  • Experience using all social media platforms including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest
  • Strong writing and editing skills, attention to detail
  • Experience with live storytelling, podcasts, video production a plus
  • Familiarity with photoshop, Flickr, Canva and other design / image tools a plus
  • Foreign language fluency a plus (Spanish, Arabic, French, or other)
  • Interest in ending discrimination and violence against women worldwide
