Description

Do you love the outdoors and have experience with fundraising, grant writing, and outreach? If you love our redwood parks in Woodside and have a few hours to spare each month, you might be just the person we are looking for! The Friends of Huddart & Wunderlich Parks is seeking a volunteer to serve on our Board of Directors and our Grants & Development Committee. The committee establishes our fundraising goals and strategy, reviews grant proposals, and actively cultivates new relationships with potential funders.

Our board meets in the evening of the third Thursday of the month. Committee meetings are approximately every 4-6 weeks and are scheduled as needed.

Our mission is to preserve the legacy and integrity of Huddart & Wunderlich parks through an array of educational, preservation, and environmental awareness programs. Last year we led 1,054 kids on hikes, welcomed 4,400 museum visitors, took 1,208 kids on history field trips and hosted a wide array of community events. We’d love to have you join our team!
