Member-at-Large (Administration Officer), Board of Directors

  • Volunteer Opportunity posted by Mosqoy

Mosqoy is seeking an Administration Officer to serve on its Board of Directors. Mosqoy is a registered Canadian charitable organization that works in remote communities of the Peruvian Andes, promoting opportunities for economic development while nurturing their threatened indigenous Quechua culture. We operate two social enterprises: Mosqoy Peruvian Textiles, which supports indigenous communities and women weavers by revitalizing textile traditions and selling their fair-trade products; and the Mosqoy Field School, which encourages responsible travel and consumption in the Global North (like Canada) through experiential learning opportunities with our partnering communities and program alumni. Both of these social enterprises support our charitable program, the Mosqoy Youth Program, which offers promising youth of the region opportunities for post-secondary education.
