The Los Angeles Music and Art School's (LAMusArt) Young Professionals Advisory Board (YPAB) is a great opportunity for young professionals to use and grow their skills in support of multi-arts education for youth. Whether your expertise is in marketing, event planning, fundraising, volunteering or other areas, the possibilities are endless.

Join us in our efforts to increase access to quality arts instruction for under-served youth in the greater East Los Angeles area and engage with our surrounding communities.

We are currently recruiting for new advisory board members to join us with a start date of June 2018, with a two year term.

Who We're Looking For

  • Young professionals dedicated to LAMusArt's mission of offering sequential, multidisciplinary, individual and group arts training in music, visual art, dance and drama to all students, regardless of age, ethnicity or artistic aptitude
  • Able to your skills and strengths to advance LAMusArt by fundraising for the organization and build a stronger foundation of volunteers and donors
  • Able to commit to attending bi-monthly board meetings, and events throughout the year.

What We've Accomplished

  • Since our inception, we've raised $20,000+ towards reinstating the LAMusArt tuition-free choir program
  • Planned several successful fundraising events, including fall mixers and an annual winter benefit
  • Led several professional development seminars for members on nonprofit essentials and fundraising best-practices
