Anike Foundation is seeking a volunteer to coordinate our grant team activities. The grant team matches our partner organizations with appropriate granting organizations. They also write / review proposals. The purpose of the proposals is to seek funding for our programs from qualified grant-making organizations.

The Grant Team Coordinator should have the skills of grant research and grant writing in case they are needed. The coordinator is responsible for assigning grant-matching/writing tasks to other members, and keeping track of their progress (on Trello/Google sheets, for example). He/she should review the work of group members, especially when they are new to the team. For any new members, the grant team coordinator is responsible for their orientation by sending them relevant documents and answering their questions.

Other duties of the grant team coordinator include:

  1. Overseeing projects and applications
  2. Managing mailbox and Google Drive
  3. Updating procedures and guidelines to reflect current situation
  4. Emailing volunteers to keep track of their progress
  5. Discussing with the President or others about improvement / future development of the team.

This is a great opportunity to develop management skills and make an impact in the organization. In order to succeed in this position, the grant team coordinator must have strong communication skills, ability to perform website research using grant research tools that we provide, and ability to use Google Spreadsheets or Excel to organize data.
