Heart-to-Heart is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic individual to assist the Community Events Organizer in carrying out communications and event planning. This position includes drafting posts for social media, designing email blasts, editing a monthly newsletter, and preparing for upcoming events.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the development and production of marketing materials, including flyers, blog posts, press releases, infographics, and one-pagers;
  • Support the development of Heart-to-Heart’s external newsletter and other email communications
  • Manage digital and social media efforts by researching new accounts to engage with, collaborating with staff on a social media strategy, managing a social media calendar, updating various social media channels, and providing detailed analytics reports;
  • Edit communications materials and publications;
  • Provide administrative support and update BDT’s digital databases as needed;
  • Actively participate in internal and external meetings, and as requested, draft meeting agendas, minutes, and record decisions reached by participants and ensure information is appropriately communicated to all attendees;
  • Review timelines, attend planning meetings, and gather resources for events;
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Applicants must be a current or recent undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university. Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or related field;
  • Excelled interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills;
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms);
  • Outstanding organization and planning skills;
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must be a team player and have a sense of humor;
  • Willingness to learn email marketing software (ConstantContact);
