Description

This is a community kitchen where kids are fed healthy meals every day. The main idea is to provide training to the families on healthy eating. In the kitchen, the children are not only fed but they also enjoy activities that contribute to their personal and collective development such as theatre, music, art and games.

There are two different positions in this volunteer project: 1/ Chef: This person is in charge of cooking every day for the kids that participate daily in the activities of the project. This is an opportunity to learn about healthy eating and Argentinean food, special knowledge about cooking is not required. 2/ Animator: This person has the task to develop art workshops once a week and co-facilitate other educational activities for the children.

Special requirements: Beginner to intermediate Spanish level. A motivation letter in Spanish: please explain about your hobbies, studies and skills, why do you want to participate in the project and all other information you consider necessary.

Orientation: All volunteers are required to attend a mandatory training in Buenos Aires upon arrival.

Language: Spanish, English

Duration of the project: Minimum stay of 3 months is recommended so that volunteers can get involved in local projects, adapt to the new culture and feel the impact of their work.

Accommodation: Volunteers live together in a volunteer house with a capacity of up to 12 people. In the volunteer house, participants have the chance to make new friends, share and learn from each other.
