Yamba Malawi is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children in Malawi. Pairing business investments with capacity building, Yamba Malawi empowers communities to reinvest their profits into providing the care their children deserve and to break the cycle of poverty. Since inception, Yamba Malawi has impacted the lives of more than 100,000 children.
We are hosting Meet Me in Malawi on Sunday, October 22, a family-focused, educational event featuring arts & crafts, activities, and entertainment tied to our programs. Meet Me in Malawi will raise awareness and educate children and their families about our work to break the cycle of poverty and support vulnerable children in Malawi.
Date: Sunday, October 22, 2017
Time: 9am - 12pm (1-hour setup before and breakdown after event not included)
Location: 219 Ridgewood Avenue, Glen Ridge, NJ (accessible via New Jersey Transit to Glen Ridge Station)
Volunteers will assist with setup and cleanup, registration, and child programming, including managing arts and crafts, games, and other fun activity stations.
Setup (8-9am) and/or breakdown (12-1pm)
Craft or Game Activity (varies)
Floater (will support all stations as needed)
