Description

The Sandy Lanier Nutrition Center at AIDS Outreach Center is a resource for people living with HIV to access healthy foods and nutrition counseling. The food pantry is open Mondays and Tuesday from 12 pm until 6 pm and on Wednesdays from 8 am until 6 pm.

The typical volunteer shift is three hours long and requires extended standing, moving, and lifting. Volunteers check clients in, help them shop and understand nutrition guidelines, bag groceries, and carry groceries to client cars with a smile on their face and courtesy in their words.

Volunteers who can commit to fulfilling at least one shift per week for six weeks or more are preferred and greatly appreciated!
