Role brief: The Grant Researcher is a virtual volunteer position that works directly with the Fundraising Manager. The Grant Researcher will be responsible for all aspects of research work available for grants that suit our current and future projects and geography from various foundations, corporations, and government sources.
Provide essential research for the development of our grant application strategy
Research grants from a list and databases
Match Haiti Now with potential and valid grantmakers
Maintain current records in online tools to track and report grant research.
Coordinate and follow-up on the feedback of submitted grant research
Inform the Fundraising Manager and the CEO of grant research status and needs for developing successful grant request.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in grant reseearching with nonprofits preferred
Fluent in spoken and written English
Reliable internet connection a must
Proven track record with institutional donors
Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum volunteer hours expected: 7 – 10 hrs per week
Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, clear, motivated self-starter with the ability to analyses market for fundraising and work independently with the help of Google Drive, Trello and Slack in a fast-paced environment
Able to effectively communicate
Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
