This is a great opportunity to discover one of the less popular yet very welcoming African countries, TOGO.
The Global Education Camp ( GEC18) , August - September 2018 ,brings together young Togolese and international volunteers to learn more about different cultures and global awareness.
Usually held in Lome the capital city, GEC2018 is making it to the cities of Badou and Noepe where we will be working with 100youths from neigbouring villages.
The selected villages hardly benefit from any public support for development; therefore this activity is the only organized youths event during summer.
The main activities will be:
Global Awareness activities with the help of local and international volunteers..
An empowerment workshop for young girls in the village.
Teaching English language.
Hosting guest speakers from various local backgrounds.
Cultural Diversity events.
As a volunteer, following a discussion with SEEDS‐TOGO program manager, you will be assigned to programs involving youths; teaching English and cultural understanding to young Learners (aged 09‐ 15) and promoting healthy behaviors through sports clubs, teaching global awareness topics.
Run an empowerment workshop for young girls in the village:
In this capacity, you will focus on developping self esteem and leadership skills for all the girls.
You will also sensitize on sexual reproductive health and sensitize on Dangers of early pregnancy and HIV AIDS.
Furthermore,you could also run a workshop on a specific skill you have any.
Attractions offered: • Trip to the most beautiful waterfall of TOGO in Badou, the Afloa falls
• Visit of traditional priest and discovery of alternative medicine
.Visit to chiefs of villages to hear about tales and history from the communities
Visit of the City of Togoville after crossing the Lac TOGO
