Community Impact, Columbia University is currently recruiting tutors to teach Math and/or English at adults at the elementary school level. This is part of New York state's TABE initiative (Test of Adult Basic Education). We are also looking for tutors for our TASC (high school equivalency program).

The fall program is about to begin and will run until December 10th.

Teachers volunteer one day a week and tutor a TASC subject area: Reading/Writing and Social Studies or Math and Science. Experience is preferred but not required! If you are new to teaching, we'll pair you with an experienced co-teacher.

Our tutoring takes place twice a day Monday through Thursday from 1:30-2:30pm and 5:00-6:00pm. Both are held on the Columbia University campus

If you are interested, email  Amelia Johnson at acj2143.ci@gmail.com and indicate day and time you would be interested in tutoring. Please include your resume.
